Does my player need an Apple Watch?+−
Yes. PitchKallr delivers pitch calls directly to an Apple Watch (Series 4 or later, running watchOS 10+). The watch shows the pitch type, target zone, and delivers a haptic tap — no signs to steal.
Can more than one player get the call at once?+−
Yes — and you don't need extra hardware to do it. Your iPhone drives one Apple Watch directly. To reach additional players, each of them opens Receiver Mode on their own iPhone (no account, no sign-up) and the call relays through to the Apple Watch on their wrist. Your catcher and your pitcher feel the same tap at the same moment, on phones and watches you already own. Step-by-step setup is on our help page (pitchkallr.com/help).
Does it work without WiFi at the field?+−
Absolutely. PitchKallr is offline-first by design. Pitch calls go directly from your iPhone to the Apple Watch over Bluetooth — no internet required. Your game data syncs to the cloud automatically when you're back online.
What devices do I need as the coach?+−
You need an iPhone or iPad running iOS 17 or later. Any iPhone or iPad that supports iOS 17 works great.
Is this legal in youth softball and baseball?+−
Yes, in most places. One-way electronic pitch calling is permitted under USA Softball, NFHS, USSSA and Little League rules — and beginning with the 2027 season, NFHS adds the pitcher as an eligible receiver alongside the catcher. Rules on smartwatches specifically do vary by sanctioning body, so check our Rules page (pitchkallr.com/rules) for a body-by-body breakdown and confirm with your league or tournament director before official play.
Is my players' data private?+−
Yes. PitchKallr collects only what's needed — first names and jersey numbers for roster tracking. We never sell your data, and all information is stored securely. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
Can I use PitchKallr for baseball too?+−
Not yet — PitchKallr is currently built for softball. We're working on adding a sport selection feature with different pitch types and rules for baseball. It's coming soon.
Are AI pitch recommendations included?+−
Yes — AI pitch recommendations are live as a Pro feature. PitchKallr suggests the next call based on the batter's history, the count, and your pitcher's strengths. You stay in control: it's a recommendation, not autopilot.
How does the free trial work?+−
Pro features include a 14-day free trial. No credit card is required to start. If you decide not to continue, you'll automatically roll back to the free tier — and you keep all your game data.
